The 30 Rock Reunion on NBC

We’ve met our latest Karen & it’s someone that you would’ve never expected. It’s Liz Lemon from NBCs 30 Rock, a sitcom centring around iconic characters played by famous actors. Those include Alex Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, and Tina Fey. Airing from 2006 to 2013, this show would become iconic & beloved by millions worldwide.

This sitcom placed various characters into the office workspace of TGS, a Fictional Sketch Comedy Show run by NBC. Several seasons were sustained after NBC Executives pushed for the continuation of this series. Initial ratings from 2006 to 2009 were dismal. However, those executives would prove themselves correct after the final season of 30 Rock became one of the most-watched television events worldwide in 2013. This was primarily thanks to the continued positive reviews from critics & eleven Emmy Awards. There is a substantial cult following behind this show, similar to other series from NBC.

The Reunion Episode

Fans have desired a Reunion Episode of 30 Rock for the last several years, often left disappointed when Tina Fey denied all claims that another season would air. It appears that’s changed with the COVID-19 pandemic, with Tina Fey & the residing cast wanting to provide their fans with some entertainment during this dark period in Hollywood history.

The 30 Rock reunion is slated to arrive on July 16th at 8/7c on NBC. Those wanting a taste of what’s to come can witness a 41-Second Trailer on YouTube, which shows the same comedy stylings that fans have grown accustomed to throughout the several seasons of 30 Rock. Its first clip shows Tina Fey (Liz Lemon) yelling at a walking bystander in New York City, claiming he needs to do more by wearing a mask. The stranger then reveals he had COVID-19 & is donating plasma, making Liz Lemon look like her foolish self.

Other notable characters in the 30 Rock cast return in this trailer. Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) is seen drinking an alcoholic beverage in white attire, claiming to have the iPhone 40 before anyone else. Kenneth (Played by Jack McBrayer) is shortly seen without any context towards his situation. This has led some to question if Kenneth’s involvement will be significant within the reunion.
